For over two decades, William Scott has exemplified what it means to serve the Las Vegas community with honor, integrity, and unwavering dedication. Throughout a distinguished career in law enforcement, he has worked tirelessly to ensure the safety of citizens while consistently upholding the highest standards of professionalism and decorum. Beyond protecting the community, he has served as a mentor and role model, demonstrating through both word and action what it means to wear the badge with pride and responsibility. As he retires from the force after more than twenty years of service, we honor his lasting impact on the department, the officers he has guided, and the community he has faithfully served. His legacy of commitment, leadership, and service will continue to inspire those who follow.

Biography

Education & Credentials

With a strong commitment to education, William Scott earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Organizational Leadership at the University of Oklahoma.  In addition to an Associate of Applied Science in Criminal Justice at the College of Southern Nevada,  providing a solid academic foundation that has complemented years of professional service.

Career Development 

Throughout his career, William Scott has actively engaged in professional memberships and ongoing development opportunities, demonstrating a sincere dedication to growth, leadership, and service that has benefited both colleagues and the community.  Some of the professional opportunities include sitting on the Las Vegas Juvenile Reform Committee, being a LVMPD Legislative Liaison, and a Chairman for the Premiere Clark County Detention Center (CCDC) Arrest Package Report.
